About our Centre

Welcome to Papilio Early Learning North Strathfield 2! Our centre caters for up to 73 children and is managed by our remarkable and highly committed team of educators who would love to meet you! At Papilio Early Learning our goal is to nurture and inspire every child in our care, so they can reach their full potential. We believe that education should incorporate an equal balance of play as well as learning, that is why we utilise the Lifelong Learning Approach - and we also have a dedicated School Readiness program. We integrate an exciting 'Healthy Children' program of events, activities, incursions and excursions year round and involve our families and local community at all times. The role

This role offers you the opportunity to learn and grow every day, as you support our Lead Educator in delivering excellence in early childhood education and care.

About you

  • Experienced and sensitive carer for children of all ages, cultures, social-economic and individual backgrounds
  • Able to recognise and cater for unique interest, needs or aptitudes
  • Skilled in gathering documentation and learning profiles for each child
  • Able to contribute to a friendly, smooth and continuously improving centre environment, where children feel safe and families feel welcome
  • Experienced and committed to developing effective partnerships and communication with families
  • Passionate about creating exciting and stimulating children’s learning environments
  • Experienced in managing daily care routines, and associated administrative and compliance tasks
  • Experienced in maintaining health and safety standards, and risk minimisation

You already have

  • Diploma in Children’s Services or study towards an approved early childhood education diploma qualification
  • A current Working with Children’s Check or equivalent
  • Good knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework
  • Ability to support the centre to meet the National Quality Standards
  • Mature and positive communication skills
  • Current driver’s licence, first aid certificate (including asthma and anaphylactic training) and resuscitation certificate
